About Us
Growing Together, One Day at a Time

Our Vision
We believe that childhood is a magical time of learning, exploring, and growing. Early childhood education should be experience-based, drawing on all developmental domains to create meaningful, engaging activities that support children as they explore their world, make connections, and build their independence. We also believe that children deserve to be treated with respect and dignity - we tolerate nothing less in our classrooms.
In our center, we value play, getting messy, making mistakes and trying again, feeling all of the feelings and finding words to go with them, treating each other with respect, progress over mastery, and the uniqueness of each and every child. We strive for joy-filled classrooms and happy children.
Our Philosophy
Our philosophy draws inspiration from the symbolism of our namesake trees. The willow, as it bends in the wind and remains rooted, represents adaptability and flexibility. We believe that quality childcare involves adjusting to the diverse needs of the children we serve. By fostering a learning environment that encourages open-mindedness and responsiveness, we aim to cultivate a space where children feel safe to express themselves and explore new ideas.
In contrast, the oak symbolizes strength and stability. The oak's deep roots and robust trunk remind us of the importance of foundational knowledge, community ties, and the value of persistence in the face of challenges. We strive to model a sense of responsibility and a strong work ethic for the children in our care. As teachers, we understand that while flexibility is crucial, it must be balanced with commitment and resilience.
Together, the willow and the oak embody a holistic approach to education. By integrating these values, we aim to nurture well-rounded individuals who are confident, kind, and ready to thrive in kindergarten.
